A variety of documents have now been sent out to all providers that should be used in early years settings when supporting a child with SEND/developmental delay. We have held 6 SENCO networks over the last 6 weeks to share the documents, explain in further detail and gain your feedback. If you have not been able to attend any of the networks please call Danielle Cartwright, Area SENCO, on 01925 443258 or email email@example.com
All of the documents are available to view in the Resources section and these include Personal Plans from the LA and from Sandy lane. We will be gaining feedback on these particular documents over the next 3 months on which you prefer to use and will amend accordingly in April 2019. Please ensure you are using the personal plans as working documents – personal plans should be carried out each time the child is in nursery and notes added each time, this will evidence any impact.
As discussed in the networks, from February we will be piloting SENCO surgeries and telephone mornings on various days. Further guidance on how to book will be sent out in January, however, so you can 'save the date' in your diary, please find the dates below;

We will be piloting the surgeries and telephone mornings for 3 months, we can then gain your feedback. Please note as stated in the graduated approach guidance the telephone mornings will be around general advice and the surgeries will be about an individual child – therefore a MARS will need to be completed.
Could you please ensure this information has been shared with the SENCO and all staff are aware of the documents to use in their practice. The documents available in the resource section are version 1, we will be gaining feedback and amending if necessary over the next 6 months. The documents will also be added to Ask Ollie as soon as we are able too.
