The DFE are funding further support to help schools and settings deliver the 30 hour early education entitlement. There is a 1 day session for schools on Tuesday 26th June at St Werburghs aimed at business support staff, administrators, head teachers or nursery teachers.
The workshop aims to support schools who have already been delivering 30-hours to:
Reflect on national and local progress to date
Consider their delivery so far against their original business plan
Explore tools and resources which will enable them to:
Health check funding matters
Calculating profit, loss, occupancy levels and breakeven points.
Review marketing strategies
Explore the importance of clear and transparent admissions information to support parents to make informed decisions about their choice of provider.
Review existing delivery models to ensure they work for the school and the families that use it.
Create a one-page action plan setting out the next steps and actions that need to be taken.
We will also look at ways in which schools can begin to charge parents for any additional sessions that they wish to take.
Please note, this a full day session and lunch will be provided.

Sensory integration is the process by which we receive information through our senses, organize this information, and use it to participate in everyday activities.
Lisa Hamer a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist and Advanced Practitioner in Sensory Integration will be delivering this one day course. The aim of the course is to provide important information around Sensory Integration, for practitioners who are supporting children with SEND.
The aim of the course is to provide attendees with an introduction to Sensory Integration and how difficulties can affect a child's ability to successfully access learning, play and social situations.
The course will explore practical intervention strategies for helping support children in early year’s settings.
SENCO’s and practitioners working in an early years setting/School nursery, that offer or who intend to offer 30 hours extended entitlement.
